Instructions for participating

We are delighted to exhibit your work as part of the Graphica Creativa 2022 Triennial at the Jyväskylä Art Museum. The triennial will take place from 17 September 2022 to 15 January 2023.

Please read carefully and fill in the participation form

The form contains important details about shipping, installing the works and publicity.
By filling in and sending the form you confirm your participation in the triennial.

1. Sending the work

Artist is responsible for sending the work to the triennial at their own cost. Please pack your work carefully!
Art Museum is not responsible for any damages occurred to the work during shipping to Jyväskylä.

NB! Sending the work from outside EU: please check your local instructions. Also please send us a copy of the receipt when you have sent it, we need the value and postage fee of the package for customs in Finland.

2. Returning the work

Jyväskylä Art Museum is responsible for returning the work to the artist after the triennial.

3. Hanging the work

4. Insurance during the exhibition and return transport

The City of Jyväskylä grants a damage guarantee for the artwork during the installation/dismantling of the exhibition and during the period of the exhibition, according to the insurance value that the owner of the artwork has provided. The artist is responsible for insuring the work for shipping to Jyväskylä. Jyväskylä Art Museum is responsible for insuring the work for return shipping.

5. Publishing the artists´ stories

The curatorial team finds the texts sent along the works very interesting and would like to include and publish them in connection with the triennial.

The artist grants a permission to Jyväskylä Art Museum to publish the artist’s story included with the application in the exhibition and on the triennial’s website. The stories will be edited and translated to Finnish. The edited versions will be sent to the artists for approval prior to publishing.

6. Publicity and Marketing

Jyväskylä Art Museum will use pictures of the art works and video material of the artworks on the Graphica Creativa web page, on museum’s home page, on social media and for publicity and marketing related to the exhibition. The image files used will be the files included in the application and files photographed by the museum’s photographer during the exhibition.

The artist is responsible for having the necessary copyright and/or licenses for the works and images he/she has provided to be used in the exhibition as well as its marketing.

The Jyväskylä Art Museum has the right to use images of my artwork for publicity without compensation.

7. Photographing in the Exhibition

Museum visitors have the right to photograph/record on video the works and the exhibition for their private use and to publish on their social media account.
